Michael Mangan

Michael Mangan

Michael Mangan came to sing with us on Thursday 17 May. We started with a welcome by Emma and I, then we sang a really catchy song ‘Come Together Let’s Celebrate’. After singing ‘Come Together Let’s Celebrate’ we sang another song that was a bit like the first one ‘Celebrate, Let’s Celebrate’. We used a lot of really cool actions for all the songs, and we had heaps of fun clapping rythms. My favourite songs to listen, sing and do actions to were ‘Create A new Heart’, ‘Common Good’ and ‘Justice and freedom’. Michael has written over 250 songs, but unfortunately we only got to sing a few. Wow! It was a great morning and we were really grateful to have the chance to actually listen to someone as talented as Mr Mangan and learn 8 or 9 new songs.

  1. Hey Room 1
I like the way you put detail into what you did with Michael Mangan. It made me think of when I made my own song in my notebook! Have you thought about adding some pictures of the children singing? Did they enjoy singing with him? How long did he stay? It sounds like you had a lot of fun!

Wow! Looked like you all had a really fun time. It was really cool that you added in some photos of it. It all reminded me of when someone came to visit our school. Maybe you could of included a video clip of some of the songs you all sang. Otherwise, fantastic post! Keep it up!
